This page shows how to connect Cursor to Zapier MCP, either through a plugin your team already distributed or by installing it yourself from the marketplace.
Before you begin
- A Zapier account.
- Cursor installed and up to date. Some earlier versions have a known OAuth issue, so update Cursor before you start.
- Rolling out to your organization? A team admin can distribute Zapier to everyone at once: follow Roll out Zapier MCP to your Cursor team.
Cursor and Grok Bot share one Zapier MCP connection. If Zapier is already connected in Grok Bot, go straight to Set up your tools.
Connect Zapier MCP to Cursor
If your team already distributed Zapier, connect to it directly:Start a Zapier request
Open a new Agent chat and ask for something that uses Zapier, such as listing your enabled Zapier actions.
Sign in
When Cursor prompts you, sign in to your Zapier account.
Choose your organization's workspace
If the Account field appears, select your organization’s workspace.
If your team distributed Zapier with Default Off, first find it in Customize and click Install.Some versions of Cursor have an RFC 9728 OAuth issue that prevents authentication from completing. If sign-in fails repeatedly, update Cursor to the latest version and try again.
If nobody has distributed Zapier on your team, install it yourself:Install the Zapier plugin
Install the Zapier plugin from the Cursor marketplace.Install the Zapier plugin
Open the Cursor marketplace and install the Zapier plugin.
Paste the prompt into Cursor
Open a new Agent chat in Cursor, paste the prompt, and follow the instructions.When prompted, authenticate with your Zapier account.Some versions of Cursor have an RFC 9728 OAuth issue that prevents authentication from completing. If authentication fails repeatedly, update Cursor to the latest version and try again.
